Father went to college: No, he went to work at the Bank straight out of high school.
Father finished college: No.
Mother went to college: For about a week before she decided she didn't like it and went home. And she did one academic writing paper when I was about 10.
Mother finished college: No.
Have any relative who is an attorney, physician, or professor: No.
Had more than 50 books in your childhood home: Yup.
Had more than 500 books in your childhood home: No. God, we'd have nowhere to put them all.
Were read children's books by a parent: Yes. Until a fairly late age as the sister insisted Mum read the first couple of Harry Potters to her.
Had lessons of any kind before you turned 18: Yes, swimming, guitar and flute.
Had more than two kinds of lessons before you turned 18: Yes.
Had a credit card with your name on it before you turned 18: No. I only have one now so I can buy stuff online (well, and use it in shops to gather points, but I don't buy stuff I can't afford).
Your parents (or a trust) paid for the majority of your college costs: Yes, I'm incredibly lucky. My Uncle was paying for it, but since he died it's now my parents. I'll be paying for this next round myself though.
Went to a private high school: No. Man, those schools have the best (and most ridiculously expensive) uniforms.
Went to summer camp: No, it's not really a thing here.
Had a private tutor before you turned 18: Nope.
Family vacations involved staying at hotels: ... I can't remember. No, mostly camping or motels. I guess sometimes?
Your clothing was all bought new before you turned 18: Mostly. I've only started getting second hand stuff in the last few years. I had a few homemade things when I was little though.
Your parents bought you a car that was not a hand-me-down from them: Yes. The hand-me-down became crap, and Dad refuses to let us drive something he thinks is unsafe.
There was original art in your house when you were a child: I don't think so.
Had a phone in your room before you turned 18: My cellphone.
Your parent(s) owned their own house or apartment before you left home: Yes, they paid off the mortgage with Dad's payout when he left the Bank.
You had your own room as a child: The sister and I shared for a little while when we were kids, but most of the time I had my own.
Had your own TV in your room in High School: No, nor would I want one.
Owned a mutual fund or IRA in High School or College: No.
Flew anywhere on a commercial airline before you turned 16: Yes. Fiji and Brisbane.
Went on a cruise with your family: No.
Went on more than one cruise with your family: No.
Your parents took you to museums and art galleries as you grew up: Not really. A few times when we were trying to kill time when away on holiday, but not when we were little.
You were unaware of how much heating bills were for your family: Yes.

Basically, we've always been comfortable. We didn't have a lot of spare money when I was a kid, but we managed to do some extra things like holidays. Recently we've become a lot better off (like, it's kind of ridiculous) because people keep dying, which really isn't the ideal way to get rich.

I really have nothing to say. Things are going fairly well at the moment. I have to relearn all of 7th Form* Japanese in the next 10 weeks :/ That year had the lamest topics too, ugh industry. At least TeniPuri has taught me all the sports vocab I struggled with in the summer before Year 13~! Clearly I just need to find the right anime to learn each set of vocab and I'll be set.

*It seems I've been caught in some kind of limbo between the changing names for school years. I still think of Primary and Intermediate in the old terms (J 1-3, Standard 2-4, Form 1+2), and High School is 50/50 divided between Forms and Years. The sister, who's 3 years behind me, talks entirely in Years. It kinda sucks being stuck in the middle of everything. My High School transcript is also a mess, with mostly NCEA, plus School C Maths and Geography, 6th Form Cert Maths and Japanese, and Bursary Stats :/
