steffishApparently something doesn't have to be a song to get stuck in my head. Anything with some kind of rhythm will do, and as such Hyotei's awesome "katsu no wa hyotei, shousa wa atobe" chant was stuck in my head all morning at work :/ (and there's a fandom I'm a couple of years late to, wow. I could have discovered this back when these goddamn Tenimyu downloads were still active, and when I could find manga scanlations rather than just advice to find such and avoid the official translation, lotta use that is).

Anime characters' stats are totally depressing (well, and blatantly fake):
Kikumaru: 3cm shorter than me, 15kg lighter (aha, when I last stepped on a scale over a year ago. Probably more like 18 now). Okay, I can understand it for him, he's meant to be light and acrobatic. BUT:
Tezuka: 4cm taller, 10kg lighter. wtf.
Aren't guys normally heavier than girls of the same height? These guys are seriously underweight and yet have that much energy?

Also their hair makes me jealous.

What also drives me crazy is the way they reverse the names in the subtitles. Seeing "Ryoma Echizen" while hearing "Echizen Ryoma" fucks up my head, so that I don't know what to call them in my mind and end up with a random mix of first and last names. Gragh. Also: when they use the American freshman etc. rather than 1st year, 2nd year etc. - because the number of years in junior high in Japan and the US isn't the same, so the translation of 2nd year keeps changing between sophomore and junior - and also because it means those of us from other countries have to have some understanding of the US system as well as the Japanese :/
